Lisa Belle (not her real name) goes by a pseudonym for legal reasons. Before she was trafficked, Belle was a victim of childhood sexual abuse, the signs and symptoms of which her parents were unable to identify. Her abuse as a child led to her kidnapping.
In 1994, at age 9, while camping — her parents away on a different trip — Belle says she was abducted by a family friend in the middle of the night and driven to a hotel in central California.
