The office of U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D., Ohio) announced Friday he has introduced legislation to support survivors of human trafficking and help law enforcement officials fight the crime.
Among other things, the “Abolish Human Trafficking Act” would create a coordinator in each federal judicial district to coordinate and prosecute human trafficking cases. It also would assist in outreach and ensuring that survivors get restitution.
