Human trafficking awareness in Lex

“That’s what we need to do about (human) trafficking, create awareness” said Parks, “That’s my long term dream for all of Nebraska.”

Human Trafficking was the topic of a Friday night presentation that drew a crowd of about 50 people to Parkview Baptist Church.

Parks is the task force coordinator for the Nebraska Human Trafficking Task Force, a coalition formed in 2015 to bring together law enforcement, service providers and community partners to address the commercial sex market and labor trafficking.

“You can order a person, like you order a pizza,” said Parks.
